Am I able to change the prompt on my HomePod to distinguish it from my phone?

Hello,

It is possible to change the prompt for Siri on HomePod, but only in a limited way.

In the Home app on your iPhone, follow these steps:

  1. Tap the HomePod you would like to change the settings for
  2. Tap the gear icon to open device settings
  3. Tap "Listen for 'Siri' or 'Hey Siri'"
  4. From there, you can choose whether you want your HomePod to respond to "Siri" or "Hey Siri", or only "Hey Siri"

Theoretically, if you set the HomePod to only respond to "Hey Siri", and your iPhone was set to respond to either "Siri" or "Hey Siri", then you could use "Hey Siri" to talk to either device, or "Siri" to talk to only your iPhone.

You could also reverse these options to have it so only your HomePod responds to"Siri", and either device responds to "Hey Siri".

These options are certainly limited, but I hope this at least helps a little bit.
