iPhone not connecting to Mac

Suddenly, my photos aren't automatically syncing to my iMac Photo App. I just had an update, but not sure that is the issue. Also, my iPhone is not appearing in the left column on my Music App in my Mac.

IPhone not Syncing with Mac I have an iPhone 14Pro (iOS18.2.1) and a 2012 MacBook Pro (iOS 10.15.7). My laptop says I can’t update the iOS any more and when I plug in my iPhone to sync, it just says “syncing” but nothing happens. Does anyone know if my phone is too advanced for my laptop to read anymore? I can however open iPhoto and offload photos from my phone to my laptop but only seem to be having issues syncing my phone to update all my photo albums through iMusic.

iMac will NOT recognise iPhone 6S !? Concerns: "If your computer doesn't recognize your iPhone or iPad". I checked all steps on this webpage, but still my iMac (late 2013, macOS Catalina 10.15.7) will not recognize my iPhone6S (OS 15.7.1). When directly connecting with a USB cable, the Photo app immediately starts up and after some time it (sometimes!) shows all photos on my iPhone, so there must be some occasional or temporary connection between both. My iPhone shows in the Music App, but when selecting the iPhone, it shows contents but will not properlly sync. Last time it synced, a number of my songs will no longer play (due to "content not available in your country", which is BS of course because they all played fine during the last years! The iPhone however does not show in Finder windows. I can allso find the iMac on my iPhone if I want to airdrop a picture from my iPhone, but it takes a very long time before it actually drops.

For the Photos, make sure iCloud Photos is turned on, on both devices.

For the Music app, the iPhone won't appear there unless it's physically connected to the Mac or Wi-Fi Syncing has been enabled.
