How do I stop the format sidebar from opening when moving my cursor to the right in Pages?

Hi,

I have an issue with my pages. Every time I move my cursor to the right or touch the scroll bar, the format sidebar opens. I don't understand why it is opening without me directly clicking on the tab. is there any way to disable formatting sidebar popping up every time I move my cursor to the scrollbar on the right?

Pages View menu > Inspector > Hide Inspector (⌥⌘i). It does what it says and clicking in the scroll bar does not cause the Inspector panel to reappear until typing the preceding keyboard shortcut again reenables it.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply. After closing it via View menu > Inspector > Hide Inspector (⌥⌘i) or typing shortcut it will close, but as soon as I move my cursor to the right on scroll bar, without even clicking on it, format sidebar opens straight away. When I move the cursor away from the right side (scroll bar) than format sidebar will hide again. it is quite annoying as I am not able to use scroll bar when format sidebar pops up.

I tested this with Pages v14.3 on Sequoia v15.3.2 before I replied earlier and clicking in the scroll field, or grabbing the scroll bar and dragging downward in a 197-page document did not reopen the Inspector panel for me.
