Pages for Mac - Facing Pages View Problem
Hello- In Apple Pages, in Page Layout mode, I can no longer get the pages to display side by side. I deleted a page at some point, and this is how the document reformatted itself. Help!
Thanks.

This is exactly what I'd expect, at least in most languages.
Think of any book you've ever read. Page 1 is always a right-hand page, and that's what Pages is showing you.
As you add an additional page 3 I'd expect it to slot in to the right of page 2, followed by page 4 as the left-hand page below 2.
What is it you expect to see here?

That's what you get if you're NOT using Facing Pages (Inspector -> Document -> Facing Pages
You can see this in your original screenshot:
With Facing Pages on (as if you were printing a book), page 1 is always a right-hand page.
With Facing Pages off (printing a binder, handouts, etc.) left-right orientation doesn't matter, so page 1 would be on the left when viewed side-by-side.
Thanks for your reply.
I was expecting page 2 to be to the right of page1. This is the way it was being displayed previously while I was editing.
Actually, I get it now! Thanks for pointing out the obvious! Sometimes that helps. ✌🏼
Makes sense now. Thanks again.
