New Mac mini M4 Connection to Samsung 49" G9 Display

The Samsung monitor is saying it sense no connection. I am using a Micro HDMI which came with the monitor connecting the Mini with the monitor. Have tried unplugging all and waiting.

Is there a problem with using a Micro HDMI with the Samsung monitor (which does have a micro HDMI port)?

I’m using Odyssey G9 OLED with a USBC to DisplayPort running at 5120x1440 240Hz. I was running into the same issue. What worked for me was:

Make sure you update your G9 latest firmware (mine was last updated Oct 2024!)
Turn off sleep mode on the Mac Mini

After that, switching off monitor, switching sources and back, Mac resumes right away. Hope this helped.
