There is no partnership with Apple. Starlink has recently partnered with T-Mobile to provide satellite services to T-Mobile customers. Are you a T-Mobile customer and did you opt-in to satellite services? If so, contact T-Mobile.

Literally, every cellphone manufactured today has the built in capability to use the spectrum Starlink is licensed for, mid-band LTE spectrum(~800-2000 MHz).

The difference is you have to subscribe to a service (T-Mobile in US) that has partnered with Starlink. When you subscribe to T-Mobile service with Starlink, your iPhone is provisioned by the carrier to use a specific band they are licensed for. Other carriers and hence devices on their respective networks, cannot use Starlink.

You control, by your choice of carriers, what device can use Starlink services.

Don't sign up for the service that T-Mobile offers. Apple uses the GlobalStar satellite network to provide SOS services.

Don’t subscribe to any package from your cellular carrier that includes coverage from StarLink. In the US, that means the only carrier offering that is T-Mobile.
