Voting limit - Why

While in Apple Communities, I received a pop up saying, “You’ve reached your voting limit for now. You can vote again later.”

It feels like you want my feed back but only 3(?) times a day, or week, or month, or whatever is. If you are limiting me, I want to save it for something pertinent. If I don’t know what my limit is and for how long, how can I contribute effectively?

Either you want our opinions or you don't.

Voting is the least effective way to provide assistance. Posting a response that helps the OP with the question they have is how that is done. That is what it means to contribute effectively on this Support Site.

You are asking about something only the moderators can answer. We are not moderators.

As for how to move up, it is based upon and dependent upon points awarded to you by other signed-in users, not time since registration. That is the purpose of theupvote/downvote icon under responses:

One cannot vote for them selves nor "troll for points"—example: writing "If you found the helpful, please upvote my answer"

How long you've been a member doesn't change the fact you've almost never participated here, other than maybe doing a lot of reading.

You're still a Level 1 user with only 8 points. That's the same as virtually any user who signed up for these forums two days ago.

Yes, you have to post to accumulate points. And you only get points if someone upvotes what you say as being helpful.
