How do I convert MOV files from iMovie to MP4 for sharing?

I have created about 6 slideshows for my future cremation. I’m ok with that so no need to be sorry. This is just to show I’m a bit in a hurry. 🤭

But I’d like to show to my friends, family and all others, all details about my life. Therefor the slideshows with fitting music. So far the max size of one MOV is about 500 mb max.

I own an IPhone, IPad Pro, MacBook Pro and one HP Windows laptop. Any hints with what program this can be fixed? I haven’t found it yet what I didn’t expect from Apple.

It's not clear what needs to be 'fixed'...?

There's no inherent limit on file size (either project size or final movie), so I'm not sure why your 500MB seems to be a limit here.

Also, if you choose File -> Share -> File... the default format is MP4, which is pretty universal as far as video formats are concerned.

So maybe I've misunderstood the ask... what is it you're having trouble with?
