Can I transfer Keynote slideshow to iMovie?

I HAVE A QUERRY - CAN YOU ADVISE PLEASE?

I am happy with the slideshow I have created, but now feel for the purpose I have, it would be better suited to iMovie, so I could make it an mp4 to share via email.

Is this possible? If so how?

Thanks.

Hello again - sorry to bang on but I am still trying to get this slideshow to work. My software is not the latest as I use Big Sur, so my options are very limited. I just cannot get the finished slideshow to play with JVC or Windows 10, no matter what I do. I have tried to change the format from .key in many online apps without success. Today I have tried to download to the desktop to move to iMovie - this does not accept either .jpeg or .key. Can I change these to a iMovie format? Latest effort - to download with IMAGES selected to Photos - got surprising message about malware. Pity I cannot save it to Quicktime, but it is not an option. Any ideas please? I would have expected Apple apps to be more compatible. Thank you.

That was quick, thanks. I have finished it as a movie, but I think I have done something wrong as as it does not play smoothly. I am selling my boat and have done a slideshow of the specification with photos. So some of them need time for folks to read, so I am unsure how to get this up.

Perhaps I am trying to make this too difficult, but thought mp4 would be easier for people to download.

Your comment would be appreciated.

Does the movie play in QuickTime player correctly? Double click the movie file to open in QuickTime.

After that, try re-installing Keynote:

move Keynote application to the bin, empty the bin then download Keynote from the App Store application and test.

As a quick alternative, export to PDF instead of movie, this will give the viewers the ability to view at their own pace.

Good morning Gary, Firstly, may I thank you for your patience. I finally managed to create the movie to my satisfaction in iMovie. Previously saving the slideshow from Keynote to HTML, Powerpoint or Movie - it could not be opened on a Windows computer. (3 people tried to do this for me).

However, I now have MEGGA problems after saving it to mp4. It did save to mp4 but was oversized, with the top and bottom missing and the movie full screen. I tried all the usual, zoom etc. No good. I was alerted that my storage was surprisingly very low, and so tried to delete large files or save to ex.d. (A little success). But the big problem is the Mac screen resolution which is huge. I have tried to restore defaults: Apple logo-sys.prefs.-display. Tried all options, including scaled on or off. Zoom works a little resulting in only part of an app or whatever I open, eg. BBC News, showing. My movie opened in QuickTime, which I have also checked and left set to default.

Have you any advice? Or do I need to contact Apple, or the local engineer? I am at a loss, having tried everything I know.

Your advice would be most welcome, as this problem is very odd. Thank you.
