Apple Music - Windows 11, have never worked, spinng wheels

I ahve exactly the symptoms this unaswered question has Apple music not working at all on Windows… - Apple Community

i have tried uninstalling, resetting app data, moving the library folder, disabling sync, deleting apple music and itunes folders, leftover registry settings, ran wsreset

Here is the issue - how the heck after uninstalling the app, removing all data across the hard drive i can find - how does it know i move the folder to a different drive?

This tells me it is leaving data somewhere on the system, my suspicion is this data is the culprit.

Apple, tell me all the registry keys that this app queries and all locations this app or itunes has left around.

This is a joke of an app, it has been like this for over a year for me.

I can't edit my last reply. After more testing:

  1. this happens on multiple versions of windows 11 and on different PC hardware
  2. this doesn't happen on my Mac M2 mini - meaning either they fixed the app on macos or it is a weird windows thing
  3. This is not a network issue as the DF flag i mentioned earlier sets do not frgament, ICMP PMTU is working perfectly on my network and PCs (tested using ICMP blackhole check for IPv6 and ICMP blackhole check for IPv4)

So at this point I think only apple can make the changes to make the app work, with jumbo frames.
