Issues After Updating to watchOS 11.3.1 on Apple Watch Series 8

Hi everyone,

I recently updated my Apple Watch Series 8 to watchOS 11.3.1, and I’ve noticed some issues:

1. Sensitive light not working properly – The display doesn’t adjust brightness as expected.

2. Activity tracking inaccuracies – Steps and movement tracking seem off compared to previous versions.

I’ve tried restarting both my watch and iPhone, but the issues persist. Has anyone else experienced similar problems after this update? If so, have you found any fixes or workarounds?

Thanks in advance for your help!

There have been a lot of problems with this update, we don't know why. Lets hope Apple fixes them in the next update-

For the Inaccurate tracking sensors, I would recommend you do a "Force reset". To do a force reset, hold your crown and side button for about 10-15 seconds until you see the , it should then boot up like normal. For the brightness adjustment problem, do this- On your Apple watch, go to your settings and scroll till you see "Accessibility". There should be a setting there that says "minimum brightness", make sure that setting is turned off. If that setting is on, it will keep your display at full brightness all the time.

I hope this helps, have a great rest of your day!
