Access To Account Denied and Apple Won't Tell Me Why

I have an ITunes account on my Windows PC that I've had for years, I believe maybe 10. I don't sign into it very often, by when I tried yesterday, I received a message that it was Inactive. When I went through all of the motions of trying to reset my password, etc. I finally landed on the my account was locked. Then I went through the motions of trying to regain access to my account, and my access was denied. I called Apple Support and they told me for privacy reasons, they could not tell me why my access to my account was denied. Bottom line, I have an iTunes account with a ton of songs in it that I purchased, and Apple will not let me access my account nor will they tell me why or what I have to do, to get it resolved. I had to create a new account in order to post this question to the community. The iTunes account on Windows, is the only Apple product that I have access to. No iPad, no iPhone. etc. Any ideas how I can get access to my account ?

You did buy the music from the iTunes Store I presume?


Basic question I know. I'm being pedantic, I know. But you only need your old Apple account for music purchased from the iTunes Store and so it's a question worth asking.


Music sourced elsewhere (CDs, Amazon, Bandcamp etc.) should be on your computer or part of your backup. If you don't have those files anymore you will need to go back to your original source to get them again because they are not part of your Apple account.

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, I've been through all of these steps. After going through the Recovery Process, I did get an email from Apple denying me access to my account. At this point my Account HAS BEEN LOCKED. I called Apple Support and all they tell me is my access request has been denied, my account is locked and won't tell me why because of privacy reasons. The last time I tried to acess my iTunes account was several months ago. So I'm not sure what happened. Or what I can do to get my access back.
