Mid 2010 Power Supply vs. Mid 2011-late 2014 Power Supply

I am finding conflicting answers to this question. One Site selling used versions of these supplies makes a clear distinction (to include cost differential) between these 2 options. However, web research and other used parts Sites suggest that there is no physical nor electrical difference (just an Apple part number distinction) between any of the mid 2010 to late 2014 PS units. I have a late 2014 Mini PS that I want to keep as a spare for a mid 2010 Mini. Definitive technical comments as to physical and electrical (to include sense circuit behavior) compatibility would be much appreciated!

Morning.

Thank you for the reply!

I have in fact been in contact with ifixit. They tell me that they rely on their "suppliers" for any compatibility assessment. The basis for the supplier's conclusions in this regard appears to be unknown to ifixit. I've also been in touch with a few other commercial Apple parts refurbishers and get conflicting answers to the compatibility question. Some say they are the same, others say they are not. No details are provided. All of this is what lead me to my original post. I'm still hoping someone has already been down this path; actually has done a swap and can comment on success or failure.
