How do I delete Mac Mojave from trash?

I tried installing Mac Mojave from the App Store to play a old 32bit game. Since my Mac said that I can't install it I tried deleting Mojave but it keeps saying that it in usage, but it isn't.

How do i delete it?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.7

You can't downgrade Mac OS by just overwriting the later version. However, if you do the following, you might be ok:

take a full backup of your Mac (Time Machine and / or clone)
create a bootable installer of Mojave and use it to install on your Mac - this page tells you how Create a bootable installer for macOS - Apple Support
