How do I fix the Books app crashing with an abort signal on macOS?

the apple books app is not opening anymore. The error I am encountering indicates that the Books app on macOS (com.apple.iBooksX) has crashed due to an abort signal (abort()), which is typically triggered by an unhandled exception or serious issue in the application. I've tried restaring the computer, the app, I updated the system.., I don't know what else I can do. The error is the following:
