It’s unfortunate there are plenty of people asking about the appearance of a grey box on FB comments but no one is answering them.
Hard to believe there is such a fuss over info TikTok might be getting but not enough concern about info American social media outlets are taking.

Facebook belongs to META, not Apple, not their issue or problem.
No I know that - but looking for answers wherever I can get them. - Google the issue and you get lots of questions but no answers.
fB gives no answers … so just going down the line to see if anyone has the answer.
I deleted my Facebook app, restarted my iPad and reloaded it from the App Store. Is working well so far.
I believe it is Facebook trying to roll out AI for comments. I was seeing the hovering gray boxes over comments, and recently I caught a glimpse of some words at the top. It said “Help me write” but the whole thing disappeared, along with the gray boxes.
