Issue With Pressing Caps Lock During Save

When I use Pages' saving feature where you press the title of the window I get strange interactions pressing the caps lock key. I have a video to sample one of these reactions. Within the name prompt is where I cannot activate caps lock. However when I am not screen recording this interaction will instead cause caps lock to shutter on and off repeatedly until I press the caps lock key again.

It's strange and I can't begin to understand what's going on but I hope if someone just tries to repeat this behavior I hope they can see what I'm talking about. Thank you 😊

You should not manipulate Pages document naming or location from the document title bar. This has burned too many users over the years.

The correct way to save a Pages document is from the File menu > Save… for the first save, which enables autosave, or afterward manually with cmd+S. There is no caps key involved in this process.

If for some reason, you want to save the document with a different name, press and hold the option key while selecting File menu > Save As… Again, no caps key is used in this process.

By default, the operating system is installed on a case-insensitive filesystem, so a capitalized or default uncapitalized Pages document is the same file — though only one can exist in a given filesystem location.
