How do I hide the large image preview in albums on iPad?

On my iPad, there is a large image under the thumbnails in my albums. I don’t want it there.

I have researched it. Apple support says at the top of the album, press the three bars at the top and click Hide Preview.

When I click the bars there is no Hide Preview option.

Can someone please help me turn this off. I just want the thumbnails to show.
