Why isn't ultra-wide camera mode working on FaceTime for iPad?

Whenever I use face time the ultra wide camera was usually automatically on. the other day I was using facetime and it randomly turned off and now I can’t get the ultra wide camera back. I’ve tried doing a forced restart, deleting and reinstalling the app and did a reset on my ipad and it still isn’t there. How do I get it back?

FaceTime Camera Not Working When I Open Other Apps When I am on a facetime call and I go to home screen or to open another app, it completely turns the viewing screen into a grey slate of what should be my face. I've tried to toggle the camera button on and off, but that does nothing. The only resolve is to hangup and call again. The same thing happens when SharePlay starts as well. It could be a glitch from iOS 17. What is causing this grey slate image when I open other apps and how do I fix it? Thanks!
