Why am I receiving a 'Onedrive is damaged' warning and how do I access its contents?

I have got a warning window saying - "Onedrive" is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Bin. This file was downloaded on an unknown date. - with the option to 'Move to Bin' or 'Cancel'.

I hit cancel and the warning re-appears within a couple of minutes.

Why am I receiving this message?

and if I do 'Move to Bin' will I loose data that was stored on the "Onedrive"?

how do I see what is on this "Onedrive"?
