Anker 332 hub not recognized by M4 MacBook Pro

My Anker 332 hub worked great on my last M1 MBP, but since work upgraded me to an M4 the laptop doesn't see the hub or anything connected to it...

check with Anker for firmware updates. If the hub doesn't have its own source of power only use it immediately after starting up the Mac, and not after closing the lid. Once you close the lid, you have to restart the Mac to get full power functionality from your ports. Apple menu -> System Settings Power or Energy Saver should not have hard drives go to sleep to avoid most issues. Do not let the computer sleep while plugged in as this will put your ports in low powered mode which will only clear on a restart and being plugged in.
