Hello, I am on a Mac desktop that is no longer able to run any newer versions than macOS Catalina. Does anyone know how to download Chrome for this version? I have tried many ways that have been mentioned in other posts but they have all seemed to disappear. I am trying to do online courses and they won't work without Chrome.
Please help!

The current version of Google Chrome requires Big Sur or later. You cannot install and run it on Catalina. I do not believe that Google still offers older versions of Chrome that are compatible with Catalina for download.

Try Vivaldi v6.9 which is the last version supported on macOS 10.15 Catalina (unfortunately I cannot find the actual stable download, but these snapshots are usually Ok these days):

Vivaldi is based on the same Chromium rendering engine as Google Chrome.
Which version of Chrome runs in Catalina? If it's earlier than Chrome 124 then try Chromium Legacy which is based on v124.

If your MacBook is running Catalina, and you do not already have Chrome, you do not install Chrome in your MacBook.
The current version of Chrome requires Big Sur or higher.

See my earlier link to download Vivaldi v6.9 which is a Chromium based browser. Anything requiring Google Chrome should work with Vivaldi. However, keep in mind v6.9 of Vivaldi is from 2024 so as the Internet & online services keep changing, more & more things will stop working with Vivaldi.
Another option is an LTS or ESR version of Firefox, but even that support will end at some point.

I don't think anyone reads the entire thread these days since I did offer everyone a direct link to a Chromium based browser that will run on Catalina and you mentioned FireFox is still fully available & supported on Catalina. I wonder why we even bother.

and I can say that installing FireFox solved all of my problems with ITV.com not working on Safari or Google Chrome using an old 2012 MacBook Pro with Catalina 10.15.7 on it… :-)
I wish I’d thought of that myself but sometimes we all just need a push in the right direction… :-))
If the online courses will work with Firefox, the current version of Firefox will run on Catalina.

Mozilla's support for Firefox on Catalina will end some day – but for now there is no need to install an ESR version.
