NSURL Domain Error 1012

So in researching this error that I was getting when trying to update the OS, I discovered that it also kept giving me a "your device has been paused" error when trying to go anywhere online. It would not connect to wifi. It also had the wrong date/time and other weird network quirks - controls on screen time and what not were acting funky. All this lead me to checking the router settings and I remembered I use EERO. So unbeknownst to me, this particular device was paused (I have no recollection of pausing it and had no idea this function existed). I simply had to unpause it from the Eero app. So, in case anyone else finds this issue and were avoiding the really long task of downloading a new high Sierra until one wasn't funky, etc...might want to just check whatever app you use for the router/internet. Ended up being very simple after about an hour of research.
