I ran into this problem when I updated my connection from a VDSL to a 5G and changed my modem. Everything worked fine before that. Pages like Youtube and Google won't open in Safari, I just get that error message. I looked through the previous threads about this same issue and tried disabling the firewall from both my Macbook Pro 14" and from the 5G router. That didn't help, and neither has anything else I've tried so far.

Ideas?

Hey jojoel,

After changing your internet modem and services, did you follow the recommendations for setting up your Wi-Fi network using this guide: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points - Apple Support

Some other reasons this can happen would be due to security software. You did mention disabling your firewalls, but do you use any other security software with your Mac? If so, temporarily disable or remove those applications to see if that resolves this issue. If so, reach out to those app developers to look into this with you: How to contact an app developer - Apple Support

If that's not the case, there are some great steps in the following guide that can help with this issue too: If Safari on Mac doesn't open a webpage or isn’t working as expected - Apple Support

Let us know how it goes.

Take care!
