2020 MacBook Air, stopped charging after the last update and the same thing has happened to me after it updated to Sonoma, I can't remember how I got it back charging last time, followed advice online, I know it was holding down buttons including the power one but I've tried everything again and no joy. The battery level is normal and the charger is fine, charges other devices. I'm not exactly tech savvy so any ideas?
There are 2 different MBAs that can run macOS 14 Sonoma

Are you using the Apple Supplied Charger and Cables that Originally came with the Computer ?
You mentioned it is not chargering, at all ?
The computer can be connected to the Apple Charger but the charging has been Paused or on Hold
If battery charging is paused or on hold on your Mac

To be Technically Correct
The is NO SMC in Apple Silicon computers so whatever Keyboard Command that was used would have done Zero, Nada and nothing
If you have Mac with Apple silicon
Make sure that your Mac is plugged into power, then take one of these actions.
No other steps are necessary for Mac computers with Apple silicon.
The steps to reset NVRAM don't apply to Mac computers with Apple silicon, and aren't needed on those computers.

Both machines were or are running Sequoia 15.3.1
At no time would the Battery Cease to Charge at all when used properly ie Original Apple Charger with Apple Original Charging Cable from Apple
The only time it did not change was when the Wall Socket ceased to supply electric power
Try a different Wall Socket
The Original Apple USB -C cable is reversible
Flip the usb-c cable over before attaching to the computer

Well it's the original charger plugged into a socket that works and its not charging and I've gone through everything advised here and still not charging now when I shut it down and have it plugged in it automatically just comes on again but does not charge, its at 18% now so I have no clue what more to do. It did this the last time I had an update and I have no idea how I got it to charge again but went through some sequence and when I restarted she began charging again, as I have said Im not tech savvy so I guess it'll just run out of charge soon
I've tried all of that and nothing worked, it ran out of charge and this morning I pugged it in to the same charger in the same socket and she charged up no problem so I have no idea what was going on.
Is this an Intel based Air?
You probably want to reset the SMC.

I tried both those suggestions and it didn't work, what is an intel based air?
I Optimized Charging enabled AND was the Battery over 80% ❓
If you're asking was the battery over 80% when I went to charge it, then no and optimised charging is off as was advised on one of the links
UPDATE, MacBook ran out if charge and this morning I plugged her in and she charged fully so I have no idea what was going on, thanks for all the advice
