How do I upgrade from El Capitan to Monterey on MacBook Air?

I would like to upgrade my El Capitan OS to Monterey. Not sure how to do this.

You need an Early 2015 or later MBA.

Back up your data, check the application compatibility table, click here, and if your MacBook Air is recent enough, then on the download link for a newer OS.

Catalina and above won't run 32-bit software and split the functions of iTunes up; if you choose one of them, use Go64 as well.
