How do I stop a persistent 'Reset Password' popup on my MacBook?

This popup, "Reset Password. Use this Mac to reset your Apple ID password," keeps popping up on the desktop of my MacBook Pro (Ventura 13.7.4). I know it might be phishing and not to click on it, but how to I stop it from popping up repeatedly?

Is your password for this computer & the password for the Apple Account ( formerly Apple ID ) one and the same ?

The two passwords are different. However, the issue is now moot. Mysteriously, "Reset Password" has not popped up all day.

I consider this case closed.
