HomePod in other room answers instead of the one next to me

Every time I try to give a command to my HomePod in one place it’s another one from a different division that answers and I don’t understand as I’m closer to the first one. I already tried to restart everything and it’s the same.

Any ideas?

HomePod Mini stuck in configuring mode Hello my HomePod mini is no longer working as it should. I can no longer handoff my music from my iPhone or iPad I can set timers or alarms. My home app shows me that the HomePod mini is constantly configuring. I have followed previous advice to reset yet still have this issue. It’s been 3 days now. Any help would be appreciated

HomePod unable to control devices on first try Since upgrading to 16.3 my HomePod is unable to control my smart home devices on the first try. Siri responds that there was a problem and that I should try again later. The second attempt directly after the first try aways works. The problem occurs irrespective of which device I want to control or which scene I want to set. The first try never works, the second attempt always does. My HomePod Mini does not have this issue. It always works on the first try. I have already reset my HomePod and set it up from scratch, but no change.

Select the HomePod that isn't responding when you want it to in the Home app, use the settings gear icon to review its Siri options. Turn Listen for "Siri" or "Hey Siri" off and back on again.
