Cannot remove devices from apple music

When managing Apple Music account, I went to delete old devices (I no longer have them) and every device listed had the remove button grayed out including active devices. I tried logging out and back into the account but to no avail. All buttons still grayed out.

So I then went to my apple account via web based login. When looking at devices there, only the active devices were present but not the old devices I want to remove.

Why can't I remove devices within Apple Music. I remember being able to do this quite easily when it was iTunes.

Anybody have a solution? Would be appreciated.
