how to add a description to local file albums?

ive seen that released albums and playlists the descriptions, is there any way to add a description a album i added to my library through local files?

View your imported music library in music as a list I have imported some CDs and need to make some changes to title / cover art. It would be most useful if one could see the library as a list rather than icons. Its been a while since I used Apple Music as I find it virtually unusable. Was much better under the old iTunes, simple. Now your music library gets messed up and disorganised that I long abandoned. However, I need to upload a language CD to my phone that I have in CD format. So hard to try and organise on music. How to get list view. Many thanks

Can't add album to Library when a song already exists from there. Hi, I use Apple Music on my mac, ipad, and android phone. Today I've been trying to add albums to my library from my mac. What I've noticed is that if I already have a single song from that album in my library, that the plus symbol will not appear to let me add the full album. Instead I get lots of plus signs alongside each track and an option to download the album. If I try and add an album, of which I have no songs currently in my library, then the plus symbol appears and I can add the entire album. On my phone, if I look for the same album where I already have a song in my library, the plus symbol is present and I can add the entire album. Please can someone explain to my I can't add a full album (having already a song from it) on my mac, but I can on my phone? Sync settings seem to be correct, and I am signed into the same account. Everything is up to date. Many thanks.

The description field isn't presented in Song Info/Properties, but if you use the Songs layout and enable the Description column you can tap twice (slower than a double-click) in the field to edit it. This is a track level property rather than one that applies to the whole album.

Quite. You can add a description to a song. You can add the same description to all songs from the same album should you wish. The only place it will appear is in the Songs view if the Description column is enabled.
