If you forgot your iPhone passcode, you can recover it by using your Mac. Here's how:

1️⃣ Connect your iPhone to your Mac – Use the cable to connect your iPhone to the Mac.

2️⃣ Put your iPhone in recovery mode – The steps depend on your iPhone model:

  • For iPhone 8 or later: Press and release the Volume Up button > Press and release the Volume Down button > Hold the Side button until you see the recovery mode screen.
  • For iPhone 7 or 7 Plus: Press and hold the Volume Down and Sleep/Wake buttons until the recovery mode screen appears.
  • For iPhone 6s or earlier: Press and hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until the recovery mode screen appears.
  • 3️⃣ Restore your iPhone – On your Mac, open Finder (macOS Catalina or later) or iTunes (macOS Mojave or earlier). When your device shows up, select Restore iPhone. This will erase your iPhone, but you can restore your data from a backup afterward.
  • 4️⃣ Set up a new passcode – After the restore process, you’ll be able to set a new passcode.

If you have a backup, you can restore your data after resetting.
