Mac mini display won't sleep

I have a M2 Mini driving a studio display. I set the Lock Screen settings to turn display off after 3 minutes.

Display won't turn off.

Then I turn off Bluetooth (connect keyboard and mouse via cable) and the display sleeps as it should.

Turn Bluetooth back on => no sleep.

Far from ideal, I would just like to sleep the computer on demand without having to shut down everything I am working on. I have a pretty old Mac book pro (10 years plus old). Sleep works perfectly on that. Can anyone confirm if this is a known problem or provide a reliable solution?

Display won't stay asleep If I put my Mac Studio's display to sleep using a hot corner the display will wake up on its own some time later.

Mac Mini M1 Will Not Wake Monitor After Sleep Hi, I can see this question has been raised before but I cannot see the solution. In summary, my MacMini M1 connected by USB C to an Eizo CS2731 often fails to connect or "wake up" the screen when booting or after sleep. The screen shows "no signal" and it is necessary to unplug and reconnect the cable to get it to work. Very irritating. I have disabled Prevent Automatic Sleeping When the Display is Off (System settings/displays/advanced). Is there a solution that anyone knows please? Thanks...

What make and model are the keyboard and mouse..?

This sounds like a faulty keyboard key or a faulty mouse click/sensor, that is creating continuously input activity and preventing display off.

To figure out which one, you will need un-pair them from the bluetooth one at a time and test.

Another thing that I would test, is "Turn display off... at 10 minutes instead of 3 minutes.
