Apple Music not playing music other than what is already downloaded after update

Apple Music on MacBook Pro wouldn't play music that wasn't already downloaded.

I found the solution on my own after being on the phone with AppleCare for 2 hours.

In safe mode, authorize the computer in apple music, restart the MacBook and reauthorize it again, you'll get a message saying you're authorizing it again, do it.

Issue resolved.

Applecare wanted me to reinstall the operating system which is very evasive for an issue as simple as music not playing. I new it was an account issue and not a corruption but who listens to a former AppleCare tier 1 trainer?
