Using AirPods as hearing aid in uk

You can use them now if you set them up with an iPad or iPhone that is running IOS 18.0 or older.

I've been using mine since September because I didn’t upgrade to 18.1. I never upgrade until the bugs are ironed out.

FYI, the hearing aid feature has been available since September 2022 when the AirPod Pro 2s were released. Apple just didn’t announce it until they received approval a few months ago in the US from the FDA.

The feature has supposedly received approval in the UK but we are still waiting for Apple to unlock the feature wit an update and I have no doubt at all that it is the MHRA that are moving slowly and not Apple.

When the government allows them to. Ask them.
