Assistive access doesn’t have Voicemail?

What a great feature assistive access is for the elderly. Except they are often slow and miss calls and need to check their voicemails…but can’t in a mode that is supposed to assist them?

  • Live Voicemail (or Carrier Voicemail) is a service where callers leave you a message when you don’t answer the phone. Live Voicemail on iPhones (available in some regions) transcribes voicemails in real-time so you can decide whether to pick up. Carrier Voicemail is the traditional system where voicemails are stored with your network provider.
  • AssistiveTouch is an accessibility feature that allows users to access various iPhone functions using an on-screen floating menu. It’s designed for people who have difficulty using physical buttons or gestures.

Voicemail does not appear in the AssistiveTouch menu because it's typically managed through the Phone app or Siri.

Siri can read voicemails and messages aloud, making AssistiveTouch unnecessary for accessing them. See the pic below
