How can I recover a disappeared document in Pages?

I tried to forward a document to an my email address but the document went gray and all of my data disappeared. I tried to find it in pages but can’t open it there either.

DELETED DOCUMENT: iCloud refreshed while offline and deleted changes I was working on a Pages document in iCloud.com on Safari browser, my wifi dipped out and when it came back online iCloud.com automatically refreshed the page and my document had lost an hour of work. When the wifi turned off I tried to download my document but it didn’t work as I was offline. Now I have lost so much work I can’t recreate. I tried to Restore the file but it wasn’t listed and on the individual document’s Version History there isn’t an up to date version please I am desperate! is there just a way to see that document or at least a more recent version, or view that page of history from safari’s cookies or cache or something? Why does iCloud refresh when reconnecting to wifi, it made me lose so much :(

How do I retrieve my Pages document? Pages document. Writing my memoirs and I did a stupid thing. I was trying to replace an updated page in the document. I stupidly gave it the same name as my document, when I clicked replace, it replaced the entire document with the one page, even though I had the page highlighted. How do I retrieve my document. Fortunately I did not lose it all, but several days of work which I could never recall. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks so much. Bill B. [Edited by Moderator]

If your file is stored in iCloud, try checking the Recently Deleted folder. Another option is to check Pages' AutoSave feature. Open Pages, go to File > Revert To > Browse All Versions, and see if an earlier version of the document is available to recover. These are the most likely solutions to help you recover your file.
