How do I screenshot using my iPad

When I hit the top button and either volume button my screen shuts down!! I would like to know because I use it with my iPhone 16 and all phones prior!

By far the easiest method to trigger and save a screenshot is to set-up and use the corner-swipe gesture.


Settings > Multitasking & Gestures >

  • Swipe Finger from Corner - set to ON
  • Bottom Left Corner - select as required
  • Bottom Right Corner - select as required






You can also trigger a screenshot using an Apple Pencil:

Settings > Apple Pencil > [Pencil Gestures]

  • Bottom Left Corner - select as required
  • Bottom Right Corner - select as required

By definition, a screenshot will capture the entire screen. If you only wish to capture part of the screen, you’ll need to crop the captured image using the markup tools:
