iPhone camera randomly turns on when on call

I was on the phone with someone and all of a sudden I got a call. Before I could react the call i received was dismissed and my camera turned on with the person I was on the phone with. This is weird and quite embarrassing because I looked a mess, I also didn’t turn on my camera so it was quite confusing.

Camera and microphone lights turning on randomly on iPhone and iPad Both on my iPad and iPhone I’ve found while not touching or using the devices when I’ve gone to pick it up the camera light is on with a black locked screen. camera turns on randomly a while ago i broke the glass to one of my cameras on the back of my iphone 12 pro max. it might be the reason to this but i’m still nervous so im on here 😭 recently, my camera has been turning on randomly as im literally on my phone and it explicitly says it was on when i swipe down on my control center but the problem is that im never even on my camera app when it does it. i can tell it was on too because my broken camera makes a loud buzzing/rattling sound when used. is this just my broken cameras doing or do i have malware or something 😭😭😭😭

The call was switched to FaceTime. If you don’t want that to happen Go to Settings/apps/FaceTime and turn it off.
