Apple Mobile Devices driver MIA

HP Pavillion running Windows 11 24H2 64-bit. IOS devices not recognized by laptop when USB connected. AMDS not present in device manager. AMDS not present in services. iTunes uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times from Apple and Microsoft. Problem persists. Existing support community guidance presumes AMDS present and stopped or out of date. Also installed Apple Devices but it also doesn't see the iPhone not surprisingly.

How do I source and reinstall AMDS?

Uninstalled all Apple apps. Reinstalled iTunes. The AMDS part of that install had no errors nor did the rest. AMDS still not found in device manager under any category so unable to do a driver update. Ran the iTunes diagnostic

AMDS service is present but not running.

Started it and got the same started then stopped error message.

Thank you, I had missed that part so apologies. Did as directed and AMDS installed with no errors but IOS devices still not recognized. The USB connection is fine. My iPhone15 says its connected and its charging the battery. The AMDS service is listed but not running so I started it and got the below message

AMDS shows up as an app. AMDS does not show up under USB hierarchies in device manager presumably because its not running. Took a flyer and installed Apple Devices. It recognized AMDS and said it had to uninstall it because it was old. Apple Devices still does not see my iPhone15.

Additional direction appreciated.

While you might see an entry for your iPhone in the device manager for Apple Mobile Device USB Driver, it may also show under Imaging Devices, Portable Devices, Other Devices, or as an MTB USB Device. You may also need to trust the computer on the device before it appears in the device stack.

I don't think it matters whether or the AMDS service is running at this point. I think the driver launches the service when needed. You need the correct driver to fire up on connection.

I've done both the MS version and the Apple version. The Apple version errors because its older and cannot open a file on my computer. The MS version includes AMDS, software updater and Bonjour. Tried getting rid of iTunes etal and installing Apple devices with no success. Also tried thirdparty software but none of them "see" the device. Haven't tried the Administrator run.
