Apple Watch Battery Drain After Update

This change happened overnight, and I believe it was due to an update.

Normally my watch battery is never an issue. I wake up with it at full charge and go about my day using it for workouts, texts, as a podcast/music controller, etc.

Yesterday, I went about my day as normal, but because I wasn’t feeling great I actually spent most of my morning in bed. I took a nap, and was woken up at 2:45 PM to a notification telling me that my watch was at 10% and needed to be charged. This is insane considering that my battery just the day before was in the mid 50’s until late into the evening, and it had tracked workouts for me. And now it’s only lasting until 2:45 PM?

Paying extra close attention to it this morning, I’ve noticed a full 10% drop from 5-7:30 AM. Again, doing nothing and resting.

I’ve checked my background app refresh and turned some of them off, hoping that will help? But this is just night and day to how my watch was performing, and my watch did update in the past few days so I’m thinking that’s the suspect.

Anyone have ideas of how I can fix this? This watch is useless to me with this level of battery drain.
