Apple Watch Ultra 2 Battery Draining Fast - Like 4-5 hours

I just bought an Ultra 2 watch 3 days ago. The battery seems to die very quickly, like 1% every few minutes, which gets me about 4-5 hours until it's completely dead.

I bought from Verizon and the first one I received did this, and I returned it the next day and Verizon replaced as we both thought it was faulty. That was 3 days ago.

Now the second one I have is doing the exact same thing. 4-5 hours at best. It's also slow to charge. For example now, it was 10% 2 hours ago, and now it's just 27% charged.

I followed others advice on this page to turn off certain things on the watch, but did little to nothing.

How can I fix this? I tried to make appointment with the apple store, but they give no options for things like this, unless it needs repair. I just need to know how i need to set up the watch so battery survives to 36 hours like it was advertised. Very frustrating. Please help.

Fix for me was completely erasing the watch and setting up as a new watch instead from a back up. Now I get easily 3 days or end of 2 days. Before I’d die in a day. Very happy now.

thanks for sharing. I followed exactly the process of setting up the ultra from scratch again and it now works as it should be. Was setup from a backup and got very poor battery performance and poor charging. Apple should have fixed this bud or advise people not to use back up from previous version of apple watch.
