Unable to open books in Apple Books showing 'Formatted Incorrectly' Error

I have re authorised the computer (iMac 2019) several times, books I've bought are missing and I'm unable to open several books with the "It is formatted incorrectly" error. Does anyone know of a way to fix this. All the books were purchased from the bookstore.

I'm at a loss to work out what's happening.

It is formatted incorrectly or is not a format that Apple Books can open." I restarted he computer. Updated from Monterey to Ventura, etc. and no success. Books do open on my other devices. Books won't open on M2 MacBook Air On my Mac Mini and iPad Air I can open and read all my books without issue. On my MacBook Air M2, only a few of my books will open. They all used to open, prior to Ventura. My Mac Mini, iPad Air and MacBook Air are all associated with my AppleID and all have been authorised. One weird thing I noticed is that in Books | Settings | General if I tick download new purchases automatically it only stays ticked for a few seconds. I have tried signing in and out of my account. I tried de-authorizing and re-authorizing my MacBook Air. Not even an Apple book like "MacBook Air Essentials" will open on my MacBook Air.

I Book on mac book I cannot open my books on my mac. when I try i keep getting a message saying the book is not formatted properly i have deleted and redownloaded, I have force quit the app, I have checked my settings restarted the computer Nothing has worked please help i paid for the books and now i can't read them form my mac
