HomePod mini volume no longer adjusts to siri commands

Software on all devices are updated. Homepod mini will no longer adjusts media volume with “Hey Siri volume down/up” OR “Siri volume down. Only to “play at x%” (then it changes media volume AND voice) even AFatER it has stopped ACTIVELY listening to my voice. IPhone bluetooth is off and have adjusted iphone siri so that it ONLY recognizes “HEY siri” WHEN i am PauSHING down the button on right side of iphone. HAVE CALLED apple support!!!!

No offence taken, but you would not believe which general troubleshooting steps fellow users forget to mention, when they post their question in these communities.

Besides "HAVE CALLED apple support!!!!" you did not mention what else you tried when calling Apple Support.

I just checked with my HomePod minis, "Reduce Volume" or "Increase Volume" still works.

Does Siri on the HomePods recognise other requests?
