Why downgrade automations to reminders?

Gathered that all automations involving any of the security devices have become simple reminders...!!! Not to mention that the sentence "This automation requires confirmation to run because it may allow entry into your home" is fictitious, has I have never had lock devices ran by any automations.

The whole point of having automations is to not be reminded, and still ensure the home security (in its totality) is armed/set/disarmed automatically!!! There's no point in having a geofence reminder as an automation; that's a whole different function. There's multiple suggestions of using shortcuts, and control from the individual apps vs HomeKit... As a user I'm starting to question the integrity of using HomeKit...? And since none of the competitors are having this issue...

Is there an immediate early restore of automations back to being automated? Because suggesting any other alternatives not-HomeKit; Alexa is performing much better and with way vaster integration of devices.
