"App Store" app not showing badge when there are available updates

Previously the "App Store" app showed a badge indicating how many available app updates in it. However, since I changed my device from iphone 13 to iphone 16 the "App Store" app no longer shows the badge. I have already tried the following:

1. In "Settings -> Apps -> App Store": "App Updates" is turned off
2. In "Settings -> Apps -> App Store": There are no options to control notifications like before
3. I have restarted my iphone -> not working
4. I have signed out and signed-in to my apple account again -> not working
