homepod draining iphone battery

I just got a new HomePod and a HomePod Mini and am noticing that my iPhone battery is draining MUCH faster. The HomePods are not relying on the phone for what they’re playing (meaning, I haven’t been using the Music app on my phone and playing through the HomePod speakers).

Why is this happening and what can I do?

AirPod Pro 2 Battery Display Issue (Battery Widget) Recently my AirPod Pro 2 have stopped displaying the battery percentage in the widget app on my iPhone and iPad Pro. I currently have an iPad Pro 5th generation and an iPhone 11 Pro Max. I have updated both devices to the latest software update (currently 16.5.1). After updating I disconnected my AirPod Pro from both devices and waited a few minutes before reconnecting. I even removed the battery widget and re-added it. The battery percentage still is not displaying in the battery widget. Occasionally it will show the percentage for the AirPods, but it stopped completely showing the percentage for the charging case. See images below for examples. I do understand that if I open the case of the AirPods, I will be able to see a pop up showing the battery percentages. However, for the money I paid for all my Apple devices I should be able to see the battery percentages of both my case and AirPods within my widget.

airpods showing battery all the time Hi! My new Airpod Pro 2’s are continuously showing the battery for the pods and case on my phone, even when disconnected and haven’t been used since the day before! Is this normal? Would it be consuming more battery life or is it just a new feature with the H2 chip? I am running the os seventeen too
