How do I rename my iPhone?

My iPhone name in Bold type on my new 16 plus in settings says the wrong thing. How do I fix?

iphone name change i changed my apple name on my iphone 12. the new name does show up under "about"....but under "devices" it still says iphone 8 (then) this is iphone12. i tried restarting my phone but this is still an issue. is that a problem? i've never had an iphone 8.

How to change the iphone name shown under Settings > Apple ID? I have the same issue. The phone name is changed via 'Settings > General > About' but under 'Settings > Apple ID' I do not see how to change the phone name which was inherited from a previous iphone. Thanks for any help.

Renaming the actual Apple Account name on iphone I want to change the name on my Device Info for a iPhone 15 / iOS18/1/1 I'm clear on how to rename the name under Settings/General/About/Name. But, when you go to settings and scroll down to the bottom, the phone is also named there, and it doesn't change when you do the setting/general/about/name. I'm talking about at the bottom where it says a phone name and then under that it says "This iPhone15" Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Try tap on Settings > General > About

Tap on Name and you can then edit as you wish

Well it let me change it but did not change “Terry’s 14” in bold print above it. So weird. Thanks for your efforts.
