Audio quality when ripping CDs?

When I record a cd with my mac Music App, what is the audio quality being used? Will it be lossles, AIFF, or what? Do I need an Apple music subscription for the hightst quality? I have Music App v. 1.5.2.56 and Mac Sequoia 15.3.

I can't find any audio settings in the Music App.

When I go to Music > Preferences > Playback, all I see are options for Video playback quality. Apple music's high-resolution lossless If a audio files that is 96kHz, 16bit, and .flac format, does it belong to high-resolution lossless in Apple Music?
