How do I create a working footnote shortcut in Pages on iMac?

I created a footnote shortcut of control⌘j in prefs/kb/shortcuts app shortcuts + pages + and then selected the keys simultaneously and it showed up in the prefs. Then i turned off Pages and restarted it and no luck. It would not insert a footnote.

What am i doing wrong?

Text Style Shortcut in Pages The shortcut for text style has stopped working. I have referred to this: Use a keyboard shortcut to apply a text style in Pages on Mac - Apple Support (IN). But it did not help. Please guide. Pages Version 12.2 (7035.0.159)
