Cost of AppleCare+ subscription on my iPhone 14.

My original AppleCare+ subscription ran out recently. I opted for the year option expecting a $149 charge. However I seem to have only been charged $0.49 and this charge is per year. I have received an email confirming both the charge and the coverage.

This doesnt seem right, it looks like I am getting continuing coverage every year for just $0.49 per year?

If the original 2 year coverage ran out, you can extend it for a monthly fee only, not a full year.

The monthly fee is $11.99 in the US for an iPhone 14 not $0.49. Sounds like an authorization hold rather than a charge.

Are you sure the .49 is for Apple Care+? Have you gone to https://reportaproblem.apple.com and verified what the 0.49 charge is for?

No, that's certainly not correct. Something is amiss somewhere. If this definitely came from Apple, not some third-party company perhaps making it appear that they are Apple when they're not, then there's a mistake and your coverage may not have actually been extended. You'll want to contact Apple Support and discuss the problem with them to make sure that your coverage continues without problem.

Regards.
